I am working on a multimedia story on rock climbing for my convergence journalism class. These are from my shoot for the still photography part. I was only able to use three of them on the website so I decided to post the rest here. The finished project will be at bengal.missouri.edu/~gmrxxc/4802 if you are interested. There will be audio, photos and video. You might learn something!
This is located at Capen Park in Columbia, Missouri. It's really a lovely place. I was supposed to meet some people there and photograph them climbing, but that fell through so I walked around taking pictures of rocks until I came across these boys getting ready to climb. They were very nice and agreed to let me photograph them for my story. Both are local Columbians. Luke Miedema in the grey shirt has been climbing for about eight years, since he was a college freshman (at Mizzou!). Harrison Pitchford, the colorful one, has only been climbing for about a year and is still learning the ropes. (sorry, couldn't resist)
Enjoy!
